Gluten Free Candy Cane Fudge Recipe

December is a month full of family gatherings, baking, turkey and stuffing, and so much more. Every family has traditions for this time of year, and it’s a time of year most people look forward to.

Unfortunately, people with food allergies and sensitivities often are left out at many gatherings. This is a difficult situation, and it can be hard for people to attend things if they fall into this category. Celiac Disease for example. People that  have trouble with gluten often miss out on the festivities because gluten is in so many things! Providing a gluten free option helps people feel included, and cared for. We suspect my daughter has a Gluten allergy, and there are so many times she is left out. When people go out of their way to give her something, it makes us all happy.

Here is a quick and easy holiday treat that is gluten free:

Candy Cane Fudge

Gluten Free Candy Cane Fudge Recipe


  • 2 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 3 drops peppermint extract
  • 6 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup crushed peppermint candy canes


  1. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring after each 30 second interval.
  2. Gently fold in the sweetened condensed milk and the peppermint extract.
  3. Pour the mixture in to a 8*8 pan lined with parchment paper.
  4. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes and press them in slightly with a spatula.
  5. Freeze for 2 hours. Let sit for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
