Kindness is contagious you know. When someone does something nice for you, doesn’t it renew your faith in humanity Doesn’t it make you want to do something for someone else?
Through out the month of September, there is a challenge to do random acts of kindness. I took part in the challenge and last week we started by having my children reach out to make a new friend. Through out the week, I have looked for different chances to show random kindness to people, and I am getting my children involved. I had my children give up a turn on an iPad while waiting at the Apple store so other children could play, and their parents could relax and focus. A kind work, a smile. It all makes a difference.
Today I have plans to do something bigger. I always stop for a coffee on my way to church. I plan to Pay It Forward and pay for the person behind me in the drive through and bring donuts with me for everyone to enjoy at church. Something as small as paying for someone’s coffee can make a difference. Putting a smile on someone’s face is so rewarding.
I challenge you to do a random act of kindness today. Let me know what you have done by submitting your act. Keep an eye out on social media for the #beingkindcounts movement, and get involved!
