Slow Cooker Sloppy Joe Recipe

In summer time, my slow cooker is my best friend. Very little effort, and no heating up the house! A family favourite is sloppy joes. Who doesn’t love old fashioned Sloppy Joes? Well, now you can make them in no time at all. Throw all your ingredients in your slow cooker, and walk away until dinner time!

  • 1 lb ground beef fried and drained
  • 1 large onion coarsely chopped
  • 1 red pepper coarsely chopped
  • 1 green pepper coarsely chopped
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 3 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (optional)


  1. Put all ingredients in your slow cooker. Cook on high 4-5 hours or low for 6-7 hours. Serve on buns or toast. Enjoy!

The greatest part of this sloppy joe recipe is the veggies get into my picky eater with out complaints! You can see from the messy face how well Sloppy Joes go over in our house. After all, what kid doesn’t love a good Sloppy Joe?
